This reminds me of a TV movie in the 80s called Fatal Vision. A true story of a husband killing his wife & 2 daughters in the early 70s so he can live his lavish life. Look it up. But he got away with it for 9 years but a second trial found him guilty. Sad on both cases. On the 17th of December (next week Monday) it is Bella's birthday. She would have been 5 years old. Im so happy she had a friend who loved her this much.

Ever since they arrested the friend, I haven't heard any follow up as to trials or anything. It's like everyone just forgot about it. I completely agree his smirk is disgusting its so heartbreaking what he did to his family.

I think we have the same opinions on this! I dont think that this was meant to happen to Shannan Watts and her kids. such a sad story. I personally think that Chris just did this as a cop out so he could just start over and forget his beautiful wife and he has to live with that decision for the rest of his life.

You can watch JCS Criminal Psychologys analysis of his interrogation to get a good glimpse of the techniques they used to get his confession. That polygrapher PLAYED that guy and its very satisfying to watch considering the horrific things he did. To think he had to carry them both up those stairs like pieces of garbage... I could never understand the coldness.

I have to agree with rws_20's review. The whole documentary lacked something and seemed to be put together quickly and without a lot of love and thought. It is a tragic story but to throw together about 1 hour of phone/bodycam/social media footage with little or no narration made the whole experience for me not a pleasant one. It is at least 30 minutes way too long. Pity it was such a bland experience as Netflix usually produces some high quality TV Movies/Movies/Documentaries. I did watch a much more riveting version of this story which I think was made by the crime and investigation channel. I was sorely disappointed in this version.
